All data from the GHSFHA legacy site has been imported. All nine states are now consolidated on the HSFHA platform — 1,173,166 games, nearly 30,000 coaches, 60,000 players, and 6,500 schools. Editing is open, so feel free to jump in and start contributing!
Known issues with the imported data:
- ~20,000 duplicate games between legacy and new states need to be merged
- Playoff games showing as generic "Postseason" — specific types will be restored
- Designated coaches for games have NOT been imported yet
- Designated region/designed non-region games have NOT been imported yet
Editors are free to fix these if you stumble across these instances, but I will address them in bulk next week.
Records may be inaccurate until these issues are resolved!
I'm taking the rest of this weekend off from the site, but will be back at it next week. If you spot anything that looks off, feel free to let me know!
Welcome to the Mississippi High School Football Historians Association, a chapter of the High School Football Historians Association.
This project began in 2003 as a resource for Georgia high school football history, but thanks to the efforts and generosity of folks like David Parker, Dave Pickren, Rich Sanders, Josh Easter, and many, many (many, many, many) others, it eventually grew to include Arkansas, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Now, with the help of David Parker and David McKnight, I'm excited to add Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and North Carolina — along with introducing a completely redesigned site, built from the ground up over the past two years.
In late February/early March, the other four states will be transferred to this site, and hopefully even more states will be added in time.
If you have an account on the old site -- you'll still need to create a new account here. I'll transfer the credit for edits to this site when I transfer the data itself.
